We Are Doing Okay!

A little update. All is well. Haley is very happy with school. Which is good, because of all the struggling she's been through, I‘m glad to see her enthusiastic about going. She is becoming a fashion Diva. Everything has to be just so. I don’t mind as long as she doesn’t mind wearing bargin clothes. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that she will be 11 in a few months. Her friend Madison moved away a couple of weeks ago, but she still has Summer. I don’t know if I’ve talked about her much. She’s a good kid, says please, thank you and is nice to Sophie.
Sophie is going to get to go to school for the whole year. She doesn’t like to get up in the morning but once she gets to school she’s happy. She had her first sleep over last weekend. And she did pretty good. I didn’t, I think I was up the whole night waiting for the phone call to come and pick her up. But it never happened.
Ruby is an only child from 7:30 to 2:30 and loves it. She doesn’t like to share me with anyone and can get pretty violent when someone invades her space when she is on my lap. Pushing, punching, and pulling hair is her fighting technique. For someone who is so tough she will freak-out if a fly lands on her, or a gnat. The other day she thought her brownie crumbs were bugs, because it rolled off her shirt, she came unglued.
Davy is okay. He’s been working a lot so we don’t see him too much. I think we’ll get to spend some time with him at the end of December. It’s been hard for him to come home and not get to spend time with the girls. He usually gets home in time to give them a kiss goodnight. Better that nothing at all I think.
This summer has been so mild. We’ve been getting rain and I think we’re coming out of our drought. I tried to grow tomatoes this year and only got two small tomatoes. I let Haley and Davy taste one last night and they said they were good. Haley told me it was the best tomato she has ever eaten, but I think she was just trying to make me feel good. Thanks kid. Next year I’ll have to get several plants. I forgot to get my pumpkin seeds ready to plant, but maybe that is a good thing. Since I can barley keep my tomato plant alive. I did plant a garden in the back this year and it has turned out very nice. I need to finish up the front; I know the land lord appreciates me making his property nice. I wish we had our own house, I think if we move again it will make me sad to leave my gardenias. Well I hope this gets ya'll caught up in our business.
