Kear Lane

On our way to our cabin we saw a sign that said Kear Brooms. So our last day we went looking for it. Maybe buy one if they weren’t too pricy. But when we did find it, it looked like no one had been there for awhile. But we did find this street sign. Pretty neat hu? Oh and people knew how to pronounce Kear the correct way. Davy did give some family history before we left so I probably shouldn’t have too surprised. I guess I’ve just gotten used to correcting people or just ignoring it.

Interestingly enough, I have an old book published by National Geographic called The Craftsman in America that has the story of Kear Brooms in it, complete with pictures of the old man Kear making them by hand.
