Grandma & Papa with the Chickens

Our first set of family came to visit us this last week. It was a short visit but nice. Davy’s Mom and her husband Carl came from Oklahoma. We didn’t get to do much, took them to Wal-Mart so I could do my grocery shopping, oh and Hobby Lobby. They were having a sale on their scrap-book paper. Carl treated us to lunch and the next night he bought us a steak dinner at the Texas Road house. Davy had to work pretty much the whole time. I hope they had a good time. Sophie wanted to go back with them when they first got here then she changed her mind and wanted them to stay instead. Ruby decided she liked Carl on the last day they were here. Before that she kept her distance, never crossed her invisible line. Haley hid out in her room, and then came out to get ready for school. I guess she’s starting to grow out of the awe of having grandparents. The next set of Grandparents are coming in next, they will be here for a whole week. Hopefully I’ll be a little more entertaining and Haley will poke her head out to say hi every once in awhile. Davy will be off work on the weekend so he can’t get out of spending time with the in-laws. HAHAHA!
