Tomorrow Baby Lane will be having his heart surgery to fix his hole. His parents Brent and April have known this was going to happen well before he was born. When, was the big question? He is doing well for a baby who had some things stacked against him. He has Down Syndrome which is why he has a hole in his heart. Despite having Downs he’s doing very well. He’s rolling over now and is a good eater. He even sleeps through the night. He is still using oxygen, but pulls it off most of the time. After surgery he should be done with it.
Tomorrow will probably be a really long day for his parents; I know my stomach is in knots just thinking about it. So please pray for little baby Lane and for the doctor performing the surgery. And for Brent and April, for their nerves. I will let you all know how things are going as soon as I know.

Any word on the surgery?
She did call earlier today. Surgery went without a hitch. They will keep him asleep until tomorrow. He is in ICU for now. I think they reserved a McDonald’s room to stay in for the next couple of weeks. I’m not sure how long the process takes. But he has the best cardiac surgeon Kansas City has to offer, and family, prayers, and love. I bet he will be out in know time. I just hate the idea of his little perfect baby skin being cut. And the pain of healing. Soon the hard part will be over and he can start getting into his mothers plants and pulling the dogs hair. I’ll post when I know more.
