Care Bear Stare

Last year at this time Sophie was speaking Spanish with Dora, and then it turned into rescuing baby jaguar with Diego. Now we have the Care Bears. She collects the stuffed bears, movies, t-shirts, dresses, tennis shoes, and books. She even had me buy a baby blanket that had Care Bears on it. She wanted the crib sheets too, but I had to convince her they would not fit her bed. Then she said Ruby wanted them, because she can read her mind and know what she wants. One of her new things is to speak for her sisters. She will approach one of us and say “Me and Hay want to color!” and when I ask Haley if that’s what she wants to do she doesn’t have a clue as to what I am talking about.

I asked her which Care Bear that she wanted to be. She said that she wanted to be Sunshine Bear. She was magically transformed into Sunshine bear and this picture is a rare capturing of the “Care Bear Stare” on film. The Care Bear Stare is when the Care Bears use the power from their belly badges to shine forth and conquer badness. We may need a few more Care Bear Stares around the girl’s room to disperse a bit more badness today.
