So this year we went back to Gatlinburg for our vacation. Some of you know that Grandma-Maga was supposed to join us. Well the blizzard of 09 came in and closed all airports. So we had to go without her. Which sucked. I think vacation at the Kears is cursed. First April, and now Maga. Hopefully when Grandparents from the Mountains come to visit there will be NO crazy weather, NO crazy illnesses, No lost luggage (that hasn’t happened yet), Maga is on her way today so keep your fingers crossed.
Our cabin was nice, and full of nick-knacks. It was cold so being a man and all Davy started a fire. And he did a great job; I wished I took a picture. Then Daddy and the girls went to the hot tub. The girls were mermaids and Daddy was a Merman. The next day we went to Dollywood. Fun. On Tuesday we went to Ober Gatlinburg on an Aerial Tram. It wasn’t what I thought it would be, all the attraction were nonfunctional or should be condemned, on top of that the prices were crazy. But we did pay to see the bears. Ruby kept calling them Teddy Bears or Care bears. Wednesday Davy woke up sick, so the girls and I took off by ourselves and did a little shopping. Then we went back and picked him up and went to the upside down place. Ruby and I hung out in the lobby and ate Dip in Dots. That night we went to the Miracle Theater. Seeing their faces when Angles were flying through the air was the best part of the whole trip. They loved it. Ruby did well through the first hour but the second part we had to go to the cry room.
It was a good trip, but isn’t it funny how you go on vacation and you still need a vacation to rest up from the other vacation? I think next year we need to go somewhere else. Got any suggestions?
